Successful projects demand well-coordinated and near-perfect execution among all aspects of a project – the PEOPLE who perform the work, the PROCESS that most certainly will change, and the TECHNOLOGY or TOOLS used to perform the work. A Fusion project strives to unite the People, Process, and Technology pillars such that the effects of any one pillar’s change is expected, planned for, and executed in concert with the other pillars. Fusion techniques are based on a cross-functional view of a project’s tasks. Initially, a project team is strategically constructed to give the team a deliberately diverse perspective. Led by a project manager, the team will set forth to carefully plan the work planned for the project. This step is perhaps the most important for the Fusion project as it builds the ground work for the cross–impact of tasks. Fusion techniques require the team to provide a balanced framework and way of thinking to the project. The Fusion project will provide equal weighting not only to the technical requirements of the tool to be built or the process to be changed, but also to the person who will do the job using the process and tool. Fusion seeks to ensure that the person doing the job is motivated and can be successful performing their job. This balanced approach is often missing from traditional projects as it requires specialized skill sets and teams to deliver such complex results.

A Fusion project will be different. It will continue to include the typical tasks and deliverables you are accustomed to producing within a project. However, start-to-finish, the Fortrex Fusion project will provide an additional layer of integration experience to the project. Change management is inherently executed through more thorough communication, enthusiastic project participation, and quicker problem resolution. Audit, Risk, and Control is not forgotten either – as you would expect from Fortrex Technologies! Benefits are typically measured throughout more than one business area.
