Mandates Across its
Regions
New payment application
security mandates
require Visa clients to
use, and ensure that
their merchants and
agents use, payment
applications that adhere
to the Payment Card
Industry Payment
Application Data
Security Standard (PA-DSS).
These security mandates
require full compliance
by July 1, 2012, and
will not supersede any
applicable, earlier
regional deadlines and
related enforcement
programs already in
place for the U.S. and

Employer Support of the
Guard and Reserve
Fortrex signed a pledge
of support to the
National Guard and
Reserve Members with
ESGR. ESGR was
established in 1972 to
gain and maintain
employer support for
Guard and Reserve
service by recognizing
outstanding support,
increasing awareness of
the law and resolving
conflict through
mediation. It is the
lead DoD organization
for this mission under
DoD Directive 1250.1.
Fortrex currently has
two active reserve
members, Sam Hinson and
Brandon Royce. “Not
only are Sam and Brandon
two valued employees for
their contributions here
at Fortrex, but the
sacrifices they make for
all of us are

In 2008, Spier assumed
the vice-presidential
role where, as a member
of the chapter Board, he
worked with the

organization to identify
an opportunity for the

geographic territory to

Rochester, leading to a
12.5% membership growth.
In cooperation with
chapter leadership,
Spier is expecting
similar growth this year
as supported by an
aggressive program of
event offerings that is

professionals.
